Thiruneermalai - Part 2 - Neervanna Perumal Temple

Continued from Thiruneermalai Part 1 - Ranganathar temple........

Sri Neervannaperumal Temple is situated at the base of Thiruneer malai.

In this Sthalam, the Perumal is found is various positions as Nindraan, Irunthaan, Kidanthaan and Nadanthaan Thirukkolam.

Thirumangai alwar is said to have waited for six months here for water surrounding the hill to drain before he had darshan of Sri Ranganathaswami.

The glass chamber in this temple houses the Utsavar and is a sight to behold..!

  10. Thanks Chitra... The utsaver idols are inside a mirror room and I could not use a flash. The shot was kind of blurred owing to low light..looks decent though. The mirror backdrop is just beautiful to look at in person..!

  18. Thanks for your kind words.. I have a couple of cameras.. Panasonic ZS3 (used mainly for outdoors in bright light) and Samsung EX1 (used mainly for indoors). Apart from this I have a DSLR (Pentax K100D) with a couple of lenses to use primarily for family shots... I am not sure if any of these is the best in its category, But, I love each one. The pity is , we don't get the recent releases of any camera in India. I bought all of these from the US through my friends. You may consult this greatphotography site before buying any camera http://www.dpreview.com/
